NOTABLE MILESTONES THROUGHOUT THE YEARS
Dr. Yadav’s methodologies are inspired by both her upbringing and education. As a second- generation Canadian, she traveled frequently to India with her family, which was one of the strongest motivators for her pursuit of a master’s degree in International Health from Johns Hopkins and eventual work with the United Nations in Malawi. After spending time working overseas, Dr. Yadav determined that she wanted to make an impact closer to home and returned to Canada to earn her MD at the Northern Ontario School of Medicine.
FROM INDIA TO JOHNS HOPKINS AND THE UNITED NATIONS
While working on a research project in India one summer, she observed a remarkable need for dermatologists. Dr. Yadav was fascinated by the diagnostic ability of dermatologists to treat over 3,000 conditions – everything from acne to skin cancer. It was then that she decided to pursue dermatology as her specialty. In Canada, there are only 28 positions available annually to train as a dermatology resident. Dr. Yadav successfully matched to this sought-after specialty, completing her dermatology training at the University of Toronto, where she still teaches and holds an academic appointment.
THE DIAGNOSTIC ABILITY OF DERMATOLOGISTS TO TREAT OVER 3,000 SKIN CONDITIONS
Whether your appointment is to treat a medical condition or to address a cosmetic concern, I want my patients to walk away feeling cared for, confident and like the best version of themselves.
